Although it is Tuesday it will seem like a Monday for many of us. My day is going to packed with meetings and an overflowing To Do list. The last two weeks I have been working on nothing but the roll out of a new software program and now it is time to get back to all my other responsibilities. In addition, I will be away on business Wednesday through Friday so I have a lot to get accomplished in a short time in the office this week. Don't worry I did get a few posts ready for you!
This month we have a lot of birthday's at my office. This card is for one of my male colleagues. It was inspired by a card created by one of the Stampin Up design team members some time ago. I used some older DSP [base is Natural Composition Specialty Paper and the 1" strip of Chevron DSP is from Parkers Patterns]. You could recreate both patterns in these DSP's using current stamps. Use the Hardwood background stamp and the Positively Chevron background stamp OR the chevron in Work of Art. I hate to waste DSP and I have tons of it to use up. I can't seem to help myself when there is new DSP.
The square is 3" and the underlying Very Vanilla piece is 1/4" smaller. I stamped the sentiment from Yippee Skippee in the center of the Very Vanilla card stock in Early Espresso. Then I took a Post-It note and punched out the Decorative Label. (Sorry for the bad photos...)
I took the punched out Decorative Label and placed it on the 3" Square piece of Daffodil Delight to center it. Then I laid the above piece so the punched out label fit back into the punched area.
The stickiness of the Post-It held the position while I then punched out the label on the Daffodil Delight card stock for the perfect placement.
The "happy" from my sentiment was added to the Daffodil Delight using my StampinWrite Marker and the Stamp-a-ma-jig.
I hope you have a lot of happy in your day. Did these tips inspire you?
Michelle
