Happy New Year! The launch of the new year brings a sense of excitement as we anticipate fulfilling our dreams and reaching new goals. So this week I used a new stamp set, Adventure Awaits, available in the 2015 Occasions Catalog in just 5 days!
And here is this week's PPA Color Challenge Badge:
It is always difficult to photograph the metallic papers. The card is very striking in person, as I used the Brushed Silver Cardstock. The ribbon embellishment is two layers of ribbon. The bottom layer is Night of Navy 1/2" Seam Binding and Smoky Slate 1/8: Taffeta Ribbon that has beautiful silver edging. The stars were created using the two smallest Star Framelits.
I think this photo shows off the silver cardstock a bit better.
I even embellished the inside of the card using a little All is Calm Washi Tape.
Today is John's (my hubby) birthday. It is always tough because by this time we all have celebration fatigue (our son Conor's birthday is Christmas Eve as well). So our day will be relaxing and I will make him a special dinner. He says is is just what he wants.
If you have any questions please email me. Thanks for stopping by!
