I have several birthday cards to make for this month and decided to use The Paper Players Challenge this week as my inspiration. This week Sandy Mathis has challenged us to use buttons on our projects. I decided to use a stamp set that has not gotten a lot of use - Label Love. One of the stamps has a blank circle in the middle perfect for my buttons.
The DSP used as the background is from the All Abloom DSP Paper Stack. Another great paper stack for quick and easy use for card creation. I loved these colors and simply layer card stock to support to feature a couple of the colors.
The Daffodil Delight stamped labels with the buttons are glued directly onto the DSP while the Happy Birthday label is popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals. This brings all three labels to the overall same height across the card.
As I was writing this blog post I had wished I used Mossy Meadow as the layer under the DSP rather than Pistachio Pudding card stock. So I stopped my writing and created another card. So here is the same design but switching out one layer of card stock and switching the Happy Birthday Label ink color.
It is amazing how changing one simple layer can alter the card. The top card seems lighter while the second card is richer. Which one do you like better?
Thanks for stopping by! Tomorrow is the Pals Paper Arts Challenge so don't forget to stop back.
