Those of you that follow StampinMojo know that I share my life with two amazing sons, a wonderful husband and our (male dog) Mojo. So when the prospect of one of my goddaughters coming to stay with us popped up I got so excited - another female in the house.
Two weeks ago today my goddaughter, Madeline, came to stay with us. Madeline is the daughter of my bestie for 35 years. While thousands of miles separate us we have a very special connection.
Of course while Madeline was with us I told her she had to spend a little time behind my craft table. I could not wait to share with her something that brings ME so much joy. I showed her how to stamp, the magic of heat embossing and using the Big Shot. Oh, how she smiled and was giddy when she used that Big Shot! This is the wonderful thing about stamping is can be shared and in the process you create memories.
On Thursday evening I came home to an envelope addressed to me from Madeline. When I opened the card I was overwhelmed at what I saw - a handcrafted Thank You card. Sure, I have received handcrafted cards from my crafting friends and fellow demonstrators yet this was different. Madeline had given back to me what I so wanted to share with her. While I was at work one day she had taken the time to make me this card. It is adorable and I want to share it with you.
WOW, her first card and she knocked it out of the park. I love her use of bling!
Receiving this card reminded me of the simple joy of giving and receiving something handmade. I hope you are inspired to share your love of crafting, stamping, card making, scrapbooking with someone you love.
