This card says New England to me! I have never been to Cape Cod yet this card seems like it would be perfect for a summer lobster boil on The Cape. I created this card for a colleague in my office who celebrated his birthday last Saturday. He seemed to like it.
The color scheme is Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Baked Brown Sugar. The Night of Navy stripes were created wtih 3/4" x 4 1/4" strips and placed on a standard A2 card base. The outer border of the focal point was 2 1/4" x 4" and the inside was 1/4" smaller all around.
The background was stamped in Baked Brown Sugar after stamping off once on my Stampin' Up Grid Paper, this gives you a faded look. I stamped the gorgeous lobster in Cherry Cobbler. I love how crisp he looks! Four candy dots make the focal point look anchored into the background.
The new Thick Bakers Twine in Baked Brown Sugar adds more texture and looks like a ships rope. This is where I hung my sentiment.
And here is the inside of the card:
My StampinMojo came from a card I saw on Pinterest. The link leads to an Etsy page called Paperdipity. I want to acknowledge this is not a completely original design.
Thanks for stopping by!
