There is a new challenge in the blog-o-sphere called The Card Concept. This week they are challenging crafters to create cards with texture. Check out their website here.
I just received the new Hardwood Stamp and I was anxious to use it. Since I needed a masculine birthday card I designed from there.
I LOVE the result. The Hardwood stamp was stamped with Brown Sugar ink on Brown Sugar card stock. I must confess I was not going to get this stamp and then I began to see it used and thought it was a MUST HAVE stamp. (NOTE: I purchased it as a Clear Stamp and if I had to do it again I would order it in Wood.)
The burlap coordinates and does not over power the background, it certainly adds further to the texture of the card. And the Chevron Punch arrows in Cajum Craze add a further pop of color on the burlap.
I used the Wetlands stamp set and the Stamp-a ma-jig to align the wheat.
The Card Concept Challenge requires you to enter your card under a style. I will enter under the Clean and Layered style group.
Thanks for stopping by today.

You have captured the texture and the colour so well Michelle. Love the burlap and woodgrain. Thank you so much for joining us at The Card Concept.
