Hello Lovely for Pals Paper Arts

Last Thursday I had a card ready to post for the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge and when I went on the website I saw that one of the resident designers made a card very similar to my card.  While great minds think alike, I really did not want to post a card so close in style to one of the designers. Unfortunately, I have not had the time to make another card until today. 

The Color Challenge gave me the inspiration for this card:

A quick and easy card for this week's challenge.  Using my BigShot and the Top Note Bigz die, I created the background with Rose Red card stock.  Then I cut a 2" x 4" piece of Wild Wasabi DSP and created a tag with my new Scallop Tag Topper punch from the new Occasions Catalog (available for ordering on January 3rd!).  Making tags with this punch is a cinch!  Then I stamped the sentiment from the the Hello Lovely stamp set in Rose Red, trimmed it and added to the tag with Stampin' Dimensionals.  A little ribbon gave the card its finishing touch.   

So here is my original card and you can see how it resembles the card by Ginger Toivonen...

Isn't it funny how that happened!  Now I have two great cards with this color palette.  This card was made with a new stamp set called Another Great Year available in the new Occasions Catalog as well.

I hope your holiday activities have been fun and enjoyable.  We are traveling for the holiday which we have never done, and it is adding to an already hectic pace.  I am feeling like I am running out of time to get everything done.  Then again, I somehow always seem to get it all done.  I make lists and enjoying checking off what I accomplished.  How do you get everything done this time of year?

Both are very cute! Yours is similar but different than Ginger's. I did this one week too. It's hard when we all play with the same sets/papers, etc.
