One of my favorite aspects of being a demonstrator is getting an early view AND early ordering opportunity for each new catalog. Yesterday, Stampin' Up! released a PDF version of the upcoming Occasions Catalog. Let me tell you, the Stampin' Up! team has knocked it out of the park! My wish list is three pages long! As soon as I can release the catalog to you in December I will. Stay Tuned...
In the meantime, I played the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge.
I love the Early Espresso and Crisp Cantaloupe together and wondered how I was going to add in the Summer Starfruit. Let's look at what I put together.
Where did my stampinmojo come from?
I knew I wanted to use a Designer Series Paper (DSP) as my focal point, so I grabbed my DSP Swatches purchased from fellow PAL Brian King. On the back of each of the swatches he has provided the coordinating colors used in the DSP. When I got to the Soho Subway DSP and saw all three PPA colors, I knew I hit the jackpot. I love the Victorian pattern in this paper group and decided it was the one.
I wanted to add detailing around the DSP and reached for my Needlepoint Border embossing folder. Being able to see through the folder made lining the folder up with the DSP a snap.
Then I added in the Summer Starfruit color with the sentiment and stitched satin ribbon. The sentiment came from the Four You stamp set. The Birthday Wishes stamp is horizontal and I simply inked one word at a time. Then using my stamp-a-ma-jig aligned the the words vertically.
Of course my envelope was lined with the same DSP and I think it looks smashing - Clean and Elegant!
I hope I got your Mojo going today.
